Fuel Smart provides an entirely new operation model for automating petroleum management and accounting that eliminates the less sophisticated components of other petroleum systems. Engineered to interface smoothly with other widely used programs, you can tap directly into system data through the use of queries, reporting selections, data processing, spreadsheets, or other browser-based analytical tools.
Fuel Smart’s plug and play interoperability enables you to fully integrate with Microsoft’s Dynamics GP accounting platform, but also supports most other 3rd party financial packages. Interfaces are included to support your trading partner relationships; banks, suppliers and carriers, terminals, and leading data aggregators such as Axxis, DTN/Telvent, OPIS, and Platts. If you need a report that Fuel Smart doesn’t already provide, you can use any of the widely-used Window programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, Crystal Report-Writer and Microsoft Access) to create your own. The Fuel Smart database is fully relational, so with many of these programs you can easily create reports that pull data from several Fuel Smart tables at once.

Since all of the pricing, taxing, and arithmetic are performed by Fuel Smart, the process is fast, simple, and error free.
Automated Purchase/Dispatch
The Smart Buy™ module automates the steps to process and key sales receipts and orders; it also automates and supports the following functions: correct anticipation, timing and requirements for fuel orders, optimization of inventory levels, determination of where to purchase fuel, transport selection, plus carrier and/or driver instruction requirements. With the ability to capture so much of this data electronically, reduced maintenance is required from your staff.
Your Automated Sales Assistant
The Quoting module enables users to establish their own rules for doing business with each customer. Once these rules are determined, the system functions in the pre-programmed manner until new rule changes occur. Fuel Smart can organize and manage all the appropriate suppliers, carriers, costs, price margins, taxes, and freight information. With this data in place, the program will automatically generate accurate and professional price quotes. Price changes can be automated and sent directly to your customers as often as required and in a variety of formats and distribution methods, such as electronically, via e-mail, facsimile, and/or hard copy. With all of these sales features, Fuel Smart makes it easy for your customers to buy from you!

The order entry and dispatch functions relating to petroleum marketing are complex. Inventory Management

Intuitive Automation
Thanks to the intelligent design of Fuel Smart, most of the work normally associated with the accounts receivable process - keying sales - is not even necessary. The orders are typically generated automatically by Smart Buy, or entered in the Fuel Smart Order Entry/Dispatch system, and then verified in the Delivery Acknowledgment/Billing system. You simply enter customer payments and request various reports as needed; the system generates service charges, prints statements, and creates journal entries in your general ledger.
